Welcome to our school!  Our goal is to ensure that all our students receive a solid academic foundation that will propel them as they progress through middle and high school so that they can graduate from high school prepared for college and a career.  Our teachers, administrators, other staff and volunteers devote countless hours each year to providing our students with a solid education in a nurturing environment.

We are proud of the programs we have that support students.  We are especially excited about the new districtwide plan to improve achievement.  Our teachers and administration are joining others from across the district to align our curriculum to the California state standards so that our students experience the best education possible.

Student of The Month

Lynwood Middle School, in conjunction with the Lynwood Rotary Club, have worked collaboratively to identify one outstanding citizen as student of the month.  Students are chosen based on overall performance in academics, behavior, and civic responsibility.  They are rewarded with a generous $25.00 gift certificate from the Rotary Club, their picture and a certificate displayed in the front office, their names on the marquee, and a parent conference with photo opportunities with LMS administration and the Rotary Club.  At the end of the year. all students of the month will be invited to attend a Rotary Club dinner, where a student of the year will be selected by the Rotary Club.

 LMS Science Fair    

Lynwood Middle School conducted its annual Science fair. There were projects representing 7th, 8th, 9th grades with a range of scientific interests from electricity to plant biology. The top thirteen winners, in each grade, will continue on to compete at the District Science Fair to be held at Bateman Hall in May.

The winners are: Jennifer Montanez, Sarai Preciado, Jose Munoz, Renata Hernandez, Maria Barajas, Fabiana Sanchez, Omar Juarez, Wendy Ramirez, Laura Estrada, Lisandra Ramirez, Bladimir Rodriguez, Kanek Perez, Steven Arreola, Chesea Machuca, Brian Meza, Gissel Gonzalez, Mellissa Salazar and Rosa Cruz.
